Casting Assistant 2000 version 6 is a Third Generation software product.

The first generation was originally designed to manage talent submission to Casting Directors and potential clients, by digitizing, faxing and email of talent pictures and resumes.

The second generation took full advantage of the evolution of Internet bandwidth and video file compression, to allow quick delivery of video to clients over the web. Additional organization and presentation features were also added.

The new Third Generation improved compatibility and delivery with the addition of Apple mov and DVD mpg2 file formats.
